Family Guy; A Satire on Humanity

I’m a huge fan of the tv show Family Guy.  This show is an equal opportunity satire on humanity in general, our views, our foibles and is so extremely and incredibly politically incorrect that I’m surprised writer and producer Seth McFarlane actually gets away with it.  But then again, this series is a cartoon and cartoons are safe because they’re not real life.

Peter Griffin is a complete moron and I think he has rocks for brains.  With so many of them rolling around in that big empty cavern inside his skull, I’m surprised he has any redeeming quality at all.  But of all the characters, he’s the one who puts a smile on my face the most and it’s his laugh that does it.  Here’s a very short video of him laughing:

Glenn Quagmire, on the other hand, is very intelligent and has a heart of gold.  The downside is that he has more than a passing interest in obscene pictures.  It borders on the obscene.  You should have seen the episode in which he learned that porn was on the internet.  Any one heard of “gorilla arm?”

Also, if you look closely in this last video, Peter is burying what looks like a picture of a woman.  A life-sized picture of a woman.  Life.  Sized.  Picture.  Like I said before, rocks for brains.

What about you?  Do you like Family Guy?  Why or why not?  Tell me!  I’d love to hear from you.
